Welcome to the inaugural post of my new blog. This is an opportunity for me to expound upon various of my obsessions, among them perfume, music, the interface between fashion and art and beauty and art, writing and literature, film, architecture and wine. I intend to alight upon subjects of interest which inspire me, whether they be areas in which I have a studied professional interest or merely an amateur enthusiasm or passion. So, first, some stuff about me: I am a fortysomething female living in Shropshire. I live with family and I also have a 13-year old rescue cat named Lenny.
